The Library's mission is to make its resources available and useful to the staff and scientists of the Centre to enhance research. The Library & Information Centre of TRC has large collection of books and scientific journals on different aspects of tuberculosis and other related subjects. Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). The library services are laid down with the objectives of acquiring, organizing, maintaining and making accessible relevant to health information. The Library provides electronic direct & liberal access facility (24hrs) for its resources. The wealth of electronic material supports the research needs of the Centre.
FACTS AND OVERVIEW
The TRC Library subscribe to approximately 1180 current journals (99% electronic) and houses around 10,000 volumes of books (print & electronic) and bound volume of journals (print & electronic). Apart from these materials, the library collections include annual reports, audiovisuals, CDROM, gratis book materials, photographs, reprints, slides, theses. An increasing amount of library resources are provided online.
