He can’t be stopped right now: After six goals in just 81 minutes in the Bundesliga, Paco Alcácer also shone on his return to the Spanish national team. Robert Lewandowski celebrated a sad anniversary.
Friendly matches
Wales – Spain 1:4 (0:3)
A good two and a half years after his last international so far, Paco Alcácer has celebrated a brilliant return. He scored 1-0 in the 8th minute for his Spaniards in the Wales match. It was Alcácer’s first national goal in more than three years. After Sergio Ramos‘ 2-0 defeat, the Borussia Dortmund striker even raised the score to 3-0 in the 29th minute, with Alcácer replaced by Iago Aspas in the 73rd.
A minute later, former Borussian Marc Bartra scored head-on to 4-0, before Sam Vokes scored an honorary goal for Wales a minute before the end. It was the third win in a row for Spain after their two successes against England (2:1) and Croatia (6:0) after the last 16 in the World Cup against hosts Russia.

France – Iceland 2:2 (0:1)
A few days before their home match in the Nations League against former title holders Germany, world champions France averted embarrassment only late. Despite stars such as Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane in the starting eleven, the French were already 2-0 down against Iceland with goals from Birkir Bjarnason (30th minute) and Kari Arnason (58th minute).
It was only after an own goal by Icelandic Holmar Oern Eyjolfsson in the 86th minute that Didier Deschamps‘ eleven got a second boost and equalled in the 90th minute with a converted penalty from Kylian Mbappé.
Nations League
Poland – Portugal 2:3 (1:2)
Without record international Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal also won their second appearance in the Nations League, leading Group 3 in Liga A after victories over Italy and Poland. The hosts Poland took the lead in the 18th minute through Krsysztof Piatek, before André Silva (31st minute), the Pole Kamil Glik with an own goal (43rd) and Bernardo Silva (52nd) turned the game around.
Poland’s Jakub Blaszczykowski scored the following goal in the 77th minute in a fiercely contested game with six yellow cards. Robert Lewandowksi was left without a goal in his 100th international match.
Israel – Scotland 2-1 (0-1)
Former Bundesliga professional Andreas Herzog has celebrated his first success in the Nations League as coach of the Israeli national team. After their defeat at the opening match in Albania, it looked like another setback: At the break, the Scottish guest led Haifa through a converted penalty from Charles Mulgrew (25 minutes) before Dor Pretz equalised in the 52nd minute.
The visitors were to blame for the defeat – John Souttar first saw yellow-red in the 61st minute and Kieran Tierney hit his own net a quarter of an hour from time. Slot Planet is offering its players a wide selection of games.
